How do we understand ourselves? Who owns your feelings? What show are we in?

Everyone experiences shame. Yet it's still a taboo subject, and most people try to hide what they are ashamed about. Sometimes we will even go as far as pretend shame is not something we experience at all. Nevertheless, it is a very powerful emotion that shapes us all and is integral to who we are as human beings. There are many emotions and states of mind at the root of which shame lies, but those feelings of shame often remain overlooked. An examination of society and how it shapes the self must involve an examination of shame. Get ready for the overlooked, the taboo, as we take you, the audience member, on a journey diving deeper into the experience of shame.
